Default What is a merchant alert?

A merchant alert is an email sent to a merchant alerting them of methods or activities associated with their website or affiliate program that is detrimental to their affiliate partners. The email is sent from "alerts @ affiliatetrust.org" and does not include any identifying information about the sending affiliate unless included in the comment section.

This is the form used to initiate a merchant alert...

This is a resulting email...

We are currently "live testing" this feature. We will be glad to send a merchant alert on your behalf. Please post the details of your merchant alert in this thread and one of the AT senior members will see that it gets sent right away.

After a period of live testing this feature will be available in AT Prim for the use of all members.

Thats great Ed, I'm sure this is going to be great to get merchant's and affiliate manager's attention to fix the leaks and other problems.
I understand its in "live testing" mode as of now, but when it will be live for the use of all AT members, will there be a way to control the number of emails sent to each merchant? Asking this to know if there is a way to control the number of email alerts sent to merchants.
Regards.

Yes. Alerts will be tracked in a database that's checked whenever a new alert is initiated. If one was previously sent, there will be a message or restriction based on time period and subject.

Great, I'm sure this is going to be a great feature at AT and will definitely help affiliates establish better affiliate-merchant relationships.
Regards.
